West Point lecture on solitude and leadership.
A phenomenal talk on the relationships between solitude, forming your own ideas, and leadership by former Yale professor William Deresiewicz. He has also written on the disadvantages of an elite education.

Rules For the New Bubble: 2011 -2014
“The signs of a new bubble have been appearing over the last year - seed and late stage valuations are rapidly inflating, hiring talent in Silicon Valley is the toughest since the last bubble and investors are starting to openly wonder how this one will end.
Breathtaking Scale The bubble is being driven by market forces on a scale never seen in the...
What Makes an Entrepreneur? (1/11) – Tenacity |... →
“1. Tenacity – Tenacity is probably the most important attribute in an entrepreneur. It’s the person who never gives up – who never accepts “no” for an answer. The world is filled with doubters who say that things can’t be done and then pronounce after the fact that they “knew it all along.” Look at Google. You think that anybody really believed 1999 that two young kids out of Stanford...

Mercavo is a marketplace where a new commodity: “intent” can be monetized, exchanged or traded for point value for later consumption of an opportunity (someone else’s intent) that is valuable to you.

When competition is at your back, it is easy to give in to one’s fear and anxiety and resort to protectionist rhetoric as Rush has.
It is very un-Republican to fear competition, free market and “can do” optimism of “pull ourselves out by our own bootstraps” attitude. Where is the determined sprint towards hard work, doubling down on innovation and ingenuity.
